What is a Company?
A Company is the legal entity that tokenizes and offers an Asset to Investors. On the Polymath Capital Platform, a Marketplace can have any number of Companies, and any Company can offer any number of Assets.
Creating a Company is the second of four major steps to tokenizing an asset, after creating the Marketplace and before creating an Asset.
How to Create a Company
- Login to your Issuer account and enter your Marketplace
- From the Marketplace dashboard, click the Companies
tab, then click Create Company
- Follow the prompts to enter the following information:
- Company Name
- Jurisdiction: The country where your company is legally registered.
- Primary Contact Info: name, email address, job title and phone number (optional) for the main stakeholder within the Company who will be managing the Company's Assets and Offerings.
- Company Usage: declare whether your entity is a Company or a Fund, as specified by your jurisdiction's securities laws.
-
- Click the disclaimer, then click Continue

- Click the disclaimer, then click Continue
Once you complete the steps above, your Company will be created and registered on the Polymath Capital Platform.
At this stage, you will automatically be re-directed to complete Know-Your-Business (KYB) verification via our partner, Sumsub. You can choose to complete KYB verification immediately or return to it at a later time, but you will need to complete it before creating an Asset or an Offering.
