Introduction to External Portfolios
By setting up and external portfolio solution, you can re-direct your investors to an external portfolio management tool of your choice rather than using the default portfolio tools provided on your Marketplace's investor site.
While our portfolio management tools allow investors to see a comprehensive overview about their investment, including amount invested, a transaction history, and the book value & market value of their position, there are some use cases where an issuer would prefer to re-direct investors to an external portfolio management solution instead.
Note: An external portfolio is applied at the Marketplace level and will re-direct investors of all Companies, Assets and Offerings in that Marketplace to your external portfolio provider.
How To Set Up an External Portfolio Solution
- Login to your issuer account and enter your Marketplace.
- From the Marketplace dashboard, click Settings
in the bottom-left corner, then click Portfolios
from the settings menu. - Click the toggle icon
to enable the integration to your portfolio provider, and click Confirm
on the pop-up window. - Enter the URL for your external portfolio management solution, then click the checkmark icon
to confirm.
