Introduction to Payment Methods

Within your Marketplace, you will be making an offering of security tokens to your investors for purchase.

When an investor buys tokens in your offering, they will need to send you payment in order to complete the transaction. Currently, there are 4 supported payment methods: Stripe, paper check, wire transfer, and crypto payments

Setting Up Stripe Payments

  1. Login to your issuer account and enter your Marketplace.
  2. From the Marketplace dashboard, click Settings in the bottom-left corner, then click Payments from the settings menu.
  3. Under the Stripe section, click Finish onboarding . You will be re-directed to Stripe's login page. Enter your Stripe login credentials and follow the prompts to authorize the integration.

Note: You must have your own Stripe account in order to accept Stripe payments from investors. Polymath does not collect and distribute payments on behalf of issuers.

Setting Up Paper Check Payments

  1. Login to your issuer account and enter your Marketplace.
  2. From the Marketplace dashboard, click Settings in the bottom-left corner, then click Payments from the settings menu.
  3. Click the Paper Checks tab, then click Add New Check
  4. Fill in the details - Addressee Name and Address information that investors should use when preparing their cheque.

Note: When accepting payments via paper check, you should have a process in place for documenting receipt of payment and distributing the tokens. Polymath does not do this automatically.

Setting Up Wire Transfer Payments

  1. Login to your issuer account and enter your Marketplace.
  2. From the Marketplace dashboard, click Settings in the bottom-left corner, then click Payments from the settings menu.
  3. Click the Wire Transfers tab, then click Add Bank Account
  4. Follow the prompts to add the Beneficiary details - Company Name and Address, Bank Name and Bank Address, Currency, ABA Routing Number, Bank Account Number, and SWIFT BIC Code if applicable.
  5. Review the details to ensure all information is correct, then click Add Bank Account.

You can edit the bank info that investors see at any time by clicking the edit icon.

Note: When accepting payments via wire transfer, you should have a process in place for documenting receipt of payment and distributing the tokens accordingly. Polymath does not do this automatically.

Setting Up Crypto Payments

  1. Login to your issuer account and enter your Marketplace.
  2. From the Marketplace dashboard, click Settings in the bottom-left corner, then click Payments from the settings menu.
  3. Click the Crypto Payments tab, then click USDC . Crypto payments are currently accepted via USDC on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network only.
  4. Click Add New Ethereum Wallet and follow the prompts to enter a unique name for your wallet and your USDC wallet address. Be certain that the address you enter is correct with no typos or missing characters.

Note: When accepting payments via USDC, you should have a process in place for documenting receipt of payment and distributing the tokens accordingly. Polymath does not monitor your USDC wallet or confirm receipt of payment automatically.
